This week my teaser comes from the novel "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. My review is coming soon!
"Your lives are set out for you. You’ll become adults, then before you’re old, before you’re even middle-aged, you’ll start to donate your vital organs. That’s what each of you was created to do. You’re not like the actors you watch on your videos, you’re not even like me. You were brought into this world for a purpose, and your futures, all of them, have been decided."

Sounds a little bit depressing.
ReplyDeleteWell, you are perfectly right but, after all, it is a distopian novel.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Ishiguro, yet. The Remains of the Day is on my TBR shelf, but this one definitely sounds like one I'd like to read - I look forward to your review, my dear.
ReplyDeleteI read The Remains of the Day some time ago and I loved it. That's what made me interested in this one.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read this one. Can't wait for your review.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds intriguing. I like books that try to say something about the human condition.
ReplyDeleteI feed your fish :) Did you change your header?
ReplyDeleteI never heard of this book... but interesting teaser.

@Melissa I am going to publish it this week.
ReplyDelete@The Red Witch yes it does say plenty about human condition.
@Mad Scientist thank you - my fish are grateful!
Yes I've changed the header a bit recently. And the background when I come to think about it. I am the tinkering type - always changing and trying to improve things )with different effects ;)).
Hi Teddy Rose thanks for a visit!
I'm following you back. I believe books can make you fly!
ReplyDeleteThanks and welcome!
