They are quite beautiful. I like the bottom ones best. I think it's because of the lavender in the background. Plus, they almost remind me of cactus flowers (although Google tells me they are nothing of the sort).
Reminds me of when I lived in Cornwall - in September the moors near me used to be an incredible palette of pinky-purple and bright yellow (a combination that has to be seen to be believed) from the heather and the gorse. Huge swathes of beautiful colour.

No heather here but we do have fall asters and goldenrod. Lots of purple and yellow too just lightly defferent.
