What new great songs have you heard recently (I mean new for you, of course) ? What songs do you eagerly return to? Would you like to share? Here is my pick for this Monday - Adele and "I set fire to the rain" song. Enjoy!
And as it fell, you rose to claim it,
It was dark and I was over,
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me,
My hands, they were strong, but my knees were far too weak,
To stand in your arms without falling to your feet,
But there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew,
All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true,
And the games you'd play, you would always win, always win,
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried,
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name,
When laying with you I could stay there,
Close my eyes, feel you here forever,
You and me together, nothing is better,
'Cause there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew,
All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true,
And the games you'd play, you would always win, always win,
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried,
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name
I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames,
Well, I felt something die,
'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time,
Sometimes I wake up by the door,
And heard you calling, must be waiting for you,
Even that when we're already over,
I can't help myself from looking for you,
I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touch your face,
Well, it burned while I cried,
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name
I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames,
Well, I felt something die,
'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time, oh,
Oh, no,
Let it burn, oh,
Let it burn,
Let it burn.

I LOVE this song :D
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to call the fire brigade!
ReplyDeleteTracy, if she really can set fire to water no fire brigade would help - the more they pour the more it burns. ;)
ReplyDeleteI also like this song Blodeuedd!
I love Adele!
ReplyDeleteSome of her songs are great and I like her attitude, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteSo she's using alkali metals such as Potassium, or something? Nasty. But to be really pedantic - firefighters have specialist chemicals to deal with it :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I've never had a relationship with anyone to whom that whole lyric would apply (nor would I want to).
But to be really pedantic - firefighters have specialist chemicals to deal with it :)
ReplyDeleteOnly if they know what they are dealing with, dear Tracy. Adele doesn't specify what she would like to use so it would be trial and error procedure until everything burns down! ;) Toxic relationship can make you want to burn something for sure, even water.
A very nice new avatar btw - I must change mine as well!
Thanks! Goes with my new blue blog look.
ReplyDeleteI see you have changed yours - I like it!
Thanks, stone head, that's the new me! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL - I've been one of those before!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm the Girl With The Pearl Earring!(well, the book was written by a Tracy, and I do have two pairs of pearl earrings - nowhere near as big as the ones in Vermeer's painting though)
For the moment, anyway.
It seems your partner should get some gift ideas now, Tracy. You need better/bigger pearl earrings!
