  2. Vermeer van Delft. The painting is entitled simply "View of Delft" but its atmosphere makes me dreamy and excited at the same time.

  5. The Red Witch - at that times waterfront was a very utilitarian place - people shipped goods, drew water, washed their clothes or simply washed themselves there. It wasn't a place of leisure.

    Tracy I would love to visit modern Delft.

  6. I like his paintings of Delft, but my fave is the Girl with the Pearl Earring. I've loved that way before the book and movie. :)
