I love love love Magnolias. They smell so delcisious! The bath and body shop used to have a Magnolia spray but it was discountinued *big frown* The Mad Scientist used to live in the South Carolina and those flowers are what I miss most along with the beach, and food!
Thanks for stopping by for earth day, loving the green light bulb on your side bar ;)
I still have a giveaway open. I will be closing it this coming Friday. April 30th. 6 books are up for grabs if you are interested ---> Here ;)
They are beautiful! I planted a young magnolia in the grounds of my old house in Cornwall, about six months before we moved - it was still growing well last time we checked (although that was six years ago) but I never saw it flower.
We never got to see it the right time of year - it was August the last time we were in Cornwall - I'm just hoping it's thriving and flowering every year now. As long as the rabbits didn't eat it (we had a whole tribe of extremely cheeky rabbits who would munch through anything, I was tempted to turn them into pies and lucky rabbits' paws - and I'm a vegetarian!)
They are lovely but they really don't last very long. Are they blooming around your home?
ReplyDeleteYes, they are. Magnolias are very popular here, despite the fact that they are only decorative plants. Plenty of people have them in their gardens.

ReplyDeleteLol rabbits can be real pests although they look so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAs far as rabbits go, I'm with Mr MacGregor!
ReplyDeleteRabbits are bad for gardens. They kill trees too by eating the bark. I had a lovely dish of rabbit at the restaurant at the Eiffel Tower.
ReplyDeleteThe revenge of the Red Witch.
