Silent Sunday, 19 December

  1. They look beautiful, as long as you're curled up in front of a log fire with a hot drink.

My partner set off for an interview/assessment in Bristol this morning at 7am, by 8am he was back home (thankfully, I was starting to get really worried, having heard the news) - the roads were just becoming really treacherous so he turned back (and then they cancelled it).
It is nearly a foot deep outside my front door, and it's still snowing. Winter Wonderland indeed, but I'd rather it was next weekend.

  2. Tracy I've seen it in the news yesterday - the UK totally covered by snow, closed airports etc. - not nice! Let's hope it won't last!

    Thanks Blodeuedd!

  3. I think it's going to be a few days at least - no more snow today, but the roads near me are pretty iced/snowed up.

I was just checking out your 'Poem of the Month' - good idea! And this one is very apt for this blogpost. (I also checked out the Black Hole)

Thanks for checking - you went on quite a journey without moving out of your room! Black Hole was inspired partially by Bill Bryson which book I simply don't want to finish! Try to drive safely if you need to!

  6. Ice can be more dangerous than snow as it is almost invisible on the road.
