We see deer quite often around here - though for such large creatures they can be very elusive. I remember pointing out two deer to the kids on a walk once, they were right in the middle of a field, but by the time my two turned to look at them, they had vanished.
We are having a bit of Indian summer right now so deer are not so shy - they go out of woods and graze, profiting from the fact that they still can find something fresh and green.
